Sheila’s Brush Smoothie/ Paddy’s Irish
While the rest of the world celebrates St Patricks Day, here in Newfoundland we take it a step further; Here on the Rock where many of us still talk with undertones of that Irish Brogue, and our hills look like those that grace the cover of Ireland Today, its either Paddy’s Week, or at the very least, Paddy Weekend. Beer is green, the public houses (Pubs) are full and there is laughter and mischief fill the air.

Paddy’s Irish Shake
Our Irish shake is a nod of the head to St Patrick, Patron saint of Ireland. With our without the optional cocoa, you will love this minty fresh meal replacement.
Sheilas Brush smoothie
In Newfoundland, Sheila was known to be the wife, sister or acquaintance of St a Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Sheila’s brush is a fierce storm or blizzard
that usually occurs after Paddy’s Day and is said to be Sheila brushing away the last of winter. We’re helping Sheila with our power smoothie. Reinforced with collagen,
MCT and lots of greens, this power hake with boost your body with anti-oxidants and lots of nutrients and vitamins.
Ingredients
For the Paddys Irish Shake
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 2/3 cup 35% whipping cream
- 2 Oz cream cheese
- 1 cup ice
- 1/4- 1/2 Avocado
- 2 drops peppermint oil
- 10 Fresh Mint Leaves,
- 3 tbsp Confectioners sweetener
- 1 Tbsp Coconut cream
- Pinch Pink Himalayan pink or Sea Salt
- Optional
- 2 Tbsp cocoa
- 35% Whipping Cream, whipped for topping
- 1 Tbsp MCT oil
For the Sheila's Bush Smoothie
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- 10 mint leaves
- 1 cup tea
- ½ cup coconut milk or 35% whipping cream
- ½ avocado, chunked
- 1 tsp coconut oil or MCT
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tbsp collagen powder
- 2 tsp confectioners sweetener
- *optional
- 1/4 cup strawberries or raspberries
