Coleslaw

Sometimes that meal isn’t complete without a serving of coleslaw on the side. Growing up, we were served grated carrot and cabbage with dressing from a bottle. Nowadays, we’d rather make our own, so we know what we’re eating.

Ingredients

1/4 head cabbage

1/3 cup keto mayonnaise, we use our own recipe

1 Tbsp oil

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp coriander

1/4tsp celery seed

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Himalayan salt and pepper to taste

powdered sweetener, to taste

Instructions

Chop the cabbage into thin slices, or grate using a coarse grater.

Mix together the mayonnaise, oil, lemon Juice, mustard, celery seed and dry ingredients.

Pour over cabbage and mix in.

Chill and serve

Recipe Notes-

A carrot can be grated in with the cabbage if desired, but we caution nee ketonians here. Wait until you are fat adapted for this option.
